Clifton and Meridian

We woke up at 5 a.m. and left the house by 7:15 in our Beautiful Behemoth. (Bus) We took the back roads and enjoyed some awesome scenery of the rolling lush hills. Thank you Lord for the rain! Arrival time was around 9:30 and the set up went pretty fast.  It was so good to see Bro. George Watson and his wife Kim and to be back in their church. I had not been there for about 14 years. Bro. George and his wife had a rough week with a fire on their property and Mrs. Kim with sickness. God brought them through to rejoice in his provision. I was so glad that we could cheer them up with God's music and message.

After the morning service there was a fellowship and we got to know some of their people and enjoy some good home cooking. From there we crashed on their pews for a few minutes. (I can't wait until we get our bus set up with places to sleep.) Before we knew it it was time to hit the road and find the Nursing Home down the street. The nursing home was ready for us and we went on in to the meeting room. There were only a few people when we started singing and then before we knew it the place was full and people were lined up in the halls. It was so neat how they do things there. They pipe all services through to each room so that everyone can here.

After we sang Bro. George was charged up and ready to Rare back and letter rip! He preached good and hard on salvation and I wouldn't be surprised if more than one person received Christ as their personal savior. When he was finished preaching the people knew how they could get saved and they knew that Jesus was the one that saves! I really wished that I could have got that sermon recorded. The Holy Spirit was upon him!

We went from there to get a snack at Dairy Queen and enjoy God's goodness! The kids had some friends from summer camp ride along in our bus and had a great time reconnecting over an ice cream cone. Thank you Bro. George! I really needed that extra sugar to help me through the long day.

Next came our trip down the road to Meridian Texas, where Fundamental Baptist and Riverside Baptist were joining their services for a special service to honor the elderly. We had the privilege to sing there at Riverside and uplift the congregation. There were at least 2 people there who were over 90 years old. I'm so glad to have been a part of what God was doing there. We also enjoyed their time of fellowship afterwards where the kids met up with more of their camp friends and had a great time. Bro. Harrod and I enjoyed great Christian fellowship in the Lord. the Ladies really brought out some good truths from their journey with Christ that encouraged me on my way.

Zach was under the weather and suffering from allergies. We let him sit out so that his throat could have a break. Pray that he will return to great health we are trying a new allergy medication.
