Egg Biscuits

Eggs make your biscuits light and fluffy! Another reason to love eggs. Here is the recipe that I use.

Egg Biscuits

  • 3 cups Flour
  • 4-½ teaspoons Baking Powder
  • 2 Tablespoons Sugar or honey (optional)
  • 1 tsp. of lemon juice or vinegar
  • ½ teaspoons Salt
  • ¾ cups of melted butter
  • 1 whole Egg, Slightly Beaten
  • 1 cup Milk

Preheat your oven to 450 degrees.

Mix all ingredients together with a large wooden spoon or a metal spoon. If you don't have this you  can use your hands or a dough hook and a mixer.

Form into 2 1/2 inch circles adding extra flour as needed to keep the dough from sticking.  You  don't have to  be perfect just do your best. (This is a good  project for  children learning to bake with  a little  supervision.)

Put your circles into a baking pan or cookie sheet lining them up close together. Bake for 10 to 12  minutes. Cool for a few minutes and enjoy.
