D.I.Y. Shower Dispencers

I wanted to get my husband one of the things he has wanted for years now but when I went to price it, it was more than I wanted to pay. We have 4 places to shower and/or bath and so it would have been $100 or more to equip all of the areas with shower dispensers. If your showers and baths are messy from shampoos and conditioners and soaps everywhere, then this may be the project you have been looking for as well.

Here's what we did:

1. Go to the dollar store and pick out a plastic dispenser that will fit nicely your decor. If there are no empty ones then you need to pick out a hand soap that looks nice and buy the amount that you will need for your project.
We needed 12

2. Next you need to remove any stickers fro the dispensers that you don't want. I kept the hand soap one for soap and removed the other ones.

3. Then you will need to set up a container to empty your hand soap into out of the two bottles that you don't need soap in and save that for later when you need to refill hand soap again.

4. After you empty the unnecessary soap then you will take your shampoo and conditioner and fill each of those up and fire up the "gluemenator" (glue gun)

5. Now you will need to turn your pumps to the on position and apply glue in a zigzag pattern on the middle of your dispensers and place them where you want them to be in your shower or on your tub etc. .

I put the glue on the bottom of this one.

If you take a mistake the glue pops off with a knife real easy and you can reapply the glue and pull off the old stuff. Easy breezy!

Do you think you could give this a try? Let e know if you do and post some pictures of the facebook page.

Clean Up Games!

The other day I needed to motivate some of my children to clean with gladness in their heart so I decided to throw in some fun games. Here is what we came up with:

1.Horse Pickup!

{Partner Game}

Pick up all you can and place it on the back of your partner. If you have an uneven amount of children like myself; you can have one team with three. The winner is the one with the tallest stack on the back! Oooo I rhymed.

2. Stuff the Shirt or Santa Belly

Shove as many things as you can under your shirt. The person with the most wins a high five or whatever you have to offer.

3. Balance it on the Head

Balance as many things as you can on your head.

Best at balancing the most wins!

4. Musical Clean-up

You have to have nothing in your hand when the music stops and if you do then you go to the hall or another room and pick up things there. When the music stops again then if you have anything in your hand you are back in the game. We played this boys room against girls room. You could do it what ever works best for your group. The ones who have the clean room first win!

Let me know if you try some of our games and how they work for your family.

Decorating With Chickens

I have been thinking of how nice it would be to have a new set of cereal bowls because my favorite one is cracked. I looked into getting the same ones and I came across some great ones that were me all over. I thought I should tell you about them and let you know I added them to my astore. http://astore.amazon.com/feedingnine-20 The prices are the same as amazon they just give us a small percentage.

Here is a peek at how they look:

So what do you think? Do you like them too?
