Meatballs and Rice

The next time you run out of spaghetti noodles and still want to have your favorite dish just substitute rice instead. That's what I did and I thought the kids were going to be upset with me but they weren't. So give it a try and see what your family thinks. If they like it let me know.

Spaghetti and Rice:


1 large can of diced or crushed tomatoes
1 large can of tomato sauce
2 tsp. of Basil
4 tsp. of Oregano
4 tsp. of garlic powder
2 tsp. of sea salt


1. 2 cups or more of rice (brown or white)

2. Bring sauce to a boil and simmer for about 15 minutes

3. Heat Meatballs from the store or your favorite recipe.

This seems simple and filling. I would've never thought to substitute for the rice. Great tip!
