How To Make Homemade Spray Starch

I've always had a desire to make my own homemade spray starch for ironing my clothes.  It always seemed to me that it would be easy.  I thought that before people had all of the conveniences that we have now days they must have used something. The other day I was researching it out and I came across a blogger who had made spray starch for a long while just using two ingredients. My husband likes it extra starchy so we tweaked the recipe for to our own needs.

Here is our Stiffer Starch :

1 table spoon of corn starch
8 to 10 ounces of water
(you can add a few drops of a fresh smelling essential oil if you would like but test it on a rag first to check the color it produces, I wouldn't want your white shirts to come out a different color)

Combine the ingredients and shake well. Store it in the refrigerator because if you don't it will clog and stain your clothes. Then I always shake before using just to make sure it stays mixed.

I couldn't believe how easy this was to make and it was right under my nose all along.  Who would have thought it was so easy?  Do you use homemade spray starch? Let me know if you have and what you use in your recipe in the comments below.
