Fried Cabbage With Bacon and Rice
1/2 c. of bacon pieces
1 can of carrots
1 onion sliced
2 table spoons of minced garlic
Seasoning - a few shakes of pepper, garlic powder and cumin
1 tbls. of salt
Olive oil enough to coat the way you like maybe about 2-4 table spoons (also depends on how big your cabbage is.)
2 cups of rice
1. In a large frying pan, oil your pan and fry all of the vegetables and bacon over medium high heat, for about 10 minutes. Then transfer to a large pot and set on 3 or lower.
2. Core and cut up your cabbage by first cutting down the middle and then cutting into slices.
3. Oil the fry pan again and fry the cabbage just enough to coat it then transfer the cabbage to the post and cook on medium heat for about 15 minutes or until wilted.
4. Place a spoon of your cabbage mixture on a bed of rice and serve.
