Spray Deodorant and Stick Deodorant Recipes

Today's post is going to be short and sweet. I hope you enjoy reading short post as much as I like writing them. First I want to tell you about the stick deodorant that I made. It is really good and very simple. The only thing that I liked more is the spray deodorant because to me it is so much simpler and faster. Anything that I don't have to do extra work for or make sure that I have the right ingredients for is really super. This is also really for us great because my husband is allergic and breaks out if deodorant has any perfumes in it. Here they are!

Spray Deodorant:

Ingredients

One Spray Bottle (we used one from www.naturessunshine.com)
One Bottle of Rubbing Alcohol (91% its stronger than regular but still very inexpensive)

Directions:

Pour into the spray bottle and spray it under you arms morning and evening.

Product Details

Stick Deodorant:

1/4 cup baking soda
1/4 cup starch
2 tbls. of shortning or coconut oil
Optional- add 20 drops of essential oil like tea tree or even a tsp. of pepermint extract

Smash this mixture together with a fork or spoon and then add to an empty deodorant container. If it gets to a warmer room temperature with the coconut oil in it it will melt a little. Also wait to use it for a day so that it will set up and harden. (with the coconut oil) You can also store this mixture in a small mason jar and use it that way.

How about you have you tried either of these alternative methods and saved money?
