How to make Freezer Jam

Freezer Jelly or Jam

This weekend I had the pleasure of making some freezer Jelly with the strawberries and blueberries that I bought from the store. Then I stored the extra into these little containers so that I could have more for later and  it wouldn't go bad. I don't really preserve the jelly because I don't have all of the tools. So when I saw these at the store I picked some up and now we will have some jelly ready in the freezer for when we are finished eating what we currently have. Its a whole lot easier as well.

Jenifer's Jelly or Jam Recipe:

Fill the jar that you will use or jars with water and transfer it to your boiling pan and then add your fruit of choice (you can also just use fuit and not pectin if you use an extra lot of fruit and less water)

add a cap ot lemon juice (to preserve color)

also add a tbl. of real butter (to reduce the bubbles)

add about 1/4 to a 1/2 cup of honey depending on your preference and the size of container

add the amount of low sugar pectin that your size of jar calls for 1 tbls. up to 3 for the quart jar.

boil for 5 minutes

smash up the fruit (if you want jam, stain if you want jelly) and then

pour into the jar or freezer container of your choice.
