Sometimes it doesn't matter how many great recipies that you have; no matter what you do you cannot feed nine on a dime because there isn't a dime anymore. Have you ever been there? I have and I am there a lot lately. But I do have hope and I know that God will see us through every hard time. There was a great hero of mine, George Muellur, who had an orphanage and every day he prayed for all of the food that he needed in detail and God always saw fit to send someone his way to meet every specific need. Lately I have heard that story told two times from the pulpit and I think that one of the hearers that God wanted to hear that message was me. He wanted me to build my children's faith by praying some more of our food in instead of driving it in. so I did just that. Yes, I will continue to pray like this as long as we need it. I will also go to the store and buy my food there and expect God to do miracles with my finances. Not being foolish and spending where I shouldn't but definitely spending where I should to care for our own. I know there is someone out there who is going through this same thing that might need to hear that there are other people out there in you same shoes and that God will see you through. Also God provided for Lazarus through other people a lot more fortunate than him and God praised him above the rich. God never leaves us without but we have to be humbled sometimes to see where and through whom he wants to provide it. Don't deny your children the opportunity to be spiritually strong through seeing God provide in mysterious ways. Don't live outside your means to make things happen when God wants to bring you miracles. Just a thought for today.
